More Marco...  in Mission, Kansas
And.... taaaa daaaaa, HERE is Marco's new home and host family!  Sonja and
Charles Mollison have hosted five other AFS students in the past and Sonja is one
Super Volunteer in the KC area. Marco loves Charles' new big screen TV, but he
has to finish his home-a-work first of course.  The Mollison's two children are out
of the house, the youngest graduated high school last year.
WOW!  Marco was thrilled when he got
to go with Charles and Sonja to the
Harley Davidson OPEN HOUSE!
Made
for ya, dude.
 Too bad there was no
key in it, ha!
One Sunday Marco wanted to show
how to cook chicken Embera style.
Actually, he wanted Sonja to buy a live
chicken and he would also show how
to kill it!  Sonja opted for store-bought
and cooking on the grill.
Marco's first Soccer game playing on
Shawnee Mission North Varsity.
Coach Collins gives a tired Marco
some instructions before sending him
in again. Mucho travajo amigo!
Marco, # 14, closes in on DEFENSE. He
is use to playing 5 v. 5 games in
Panama, but hopefully his quickness
skills will soon lead to full-field expertise.
And here is Marco at the AFS "First
Family Fling" where over 70 students
gathered with their Host Families. He
proudly poses with the Panama flag,
which moments earlier he had RUN up
the aisle to the applause of all!

There have been many costs associated with the project this last year-and-a-half,
from private schools in Panama, to clothes, to shots and Embassy fees, to paying
$6,000 to AFS for this program.  And of course, many fees continue, INCLUDING
the travel for Bob to visit KC, and eventually Marco visiting Oregon.
 Wow, it's
expensive!

If you can contribute to this worthy cause, you have an opportunity to feel
truly INVESTED in Marco's life.  I encourage you to do so... it will help us,
and it will  make your own heart feel so good, too!

Next:  Marco in October!
After going scoreless in 10 games, Marco scored
THREE GOALS in the final league game of the year!!
